Band Discovery: Tanlines

Tanlines are Jessie Cohen and Eric Emm, Brooklyn-based production duo, who specialize in sunny-hazed and tropical flavored electronic dance music.

They first burst onto the scene way-back in 2009 (a musical lifetime ago), when they opened for Julian Casablancas on several dates of his solo tour. Since then, they have released a couple of singles, done remixes (The Tough Alliance, Au Revoire Simone), contributed to a compilation album, and released  an EP (Settings). Three years after the fact, they finally announced their debut album, Mixed Emotions, out Mar 20 via True Panther.

Check out the relaxing first single Brothers from the new album, as well as the bongo-inspired cut Real Life, from their earlier EP below.
