Album To Check Out: Teen Daze – All of Us, Together

Teen Daze is the moniker of twenty-something mysterious British Columbia bedroom electronic producer Jamison (first name yet unknown). For the last couple of years, Teen Daze has been steadily releasing a stream of EPs, singles, and remixes, most of which you can stream and purchase from his band camp page.

I first heard about Teen Daze from his summer 2010 EP, Beach Dreams, the tracks of which I thoroughly enjoyed. Beach Dreams was a lo-fi nostalgic throwback to the summer scene of the 60s. Since then, Teen Daze has steadily shifted his sound towards the more ambient chill-wave electronic spectrum, highlighted by his A Silent Planet EP.

All of Us, Together is the culmination of this shift. Considered to be his first proper full-length release, Together is a richer, purer polish of the chill-wave sound. With minimal vocals, Together provides a sleek form of electronic entertainment that can be enjoyed as much on the headphones as on the club dance floor.
