Band Discovery: Haim

Haim (pronounced “high-em”) are three girls from California. Este (oldest, bass), Danielle (middle, lead guitar and vocals), and Alana (youngest, everything else) used to be in a classic rock band with their parents before striking out their own.

The sound that they evoke is influenced by late 80s and early 90s pop-rock with a dash of R&B and girl-group harmonies mixed in. Their only release has been a digital-only three-song extended play called the Forever EP. But the songs in the EP are all ready-made for the radio, especially the lead title track.
