Fang Island is a band that knows how to have fun. All guitars, major chords, and spazz-out happiness, the members of the band once described their music as “people high-fiving each other”. Their self-titled debut album came roaring out the gates with a bang and a celebration, with most listeners agreeing that its music is life-affirming.
Their sophomore album continues this tradition. Appropriately titled Major (although not all songs are in major chords). The songs still scream for joy. Though the band lost two members and are now a trio, the transition between albums remain seamless. This is music that you jump up for and then give a flying kick to. Not all rock music should be so serious.
