Wild Nothing is the bedroom project of Virginia-based pop musician Jack Tatum. In 2010, Tatum came out with Wild Nothing‘s debut album, Genesis, an album that he sang, played, and produced all by himself. Buoyed with a vibrant C86-influenced pop styling, Genesis was critically adored and gained Wild Nothing a big number of fans.
With this success in mind, Tatum has recruited a full band to back him for touring purposes. He is also ready to present his second full-length, Nocturne – an album that he still recorded by himself despite the availability of his full band. Though Nocturne is still a solo record, its sound is much bigger and sonically deeper than Genesis. It is a natural evolution of Wild Nothing‘s music.
Wild Nothing is playing this weekend 8/27 as part of the Loufest Sunday lineup in Forest Park (tickets here).
