Concert Galley: School of Seven Bells @ The Luminary

Last night brought the School of Seven Bells for a midweek show at the Luminary Center of the Arts here in St Louis. I almost didn’t go because I was tired and having a really crappy week so far, but I’m glad I did.

Beneath the cover of darkness with only two windmill-type light devices providing visuals, School of Seven Bells provided the perfect calming mix of moody electronic dance music and stimulating light show that soothed and roused my soul. It helps that Alejandra Deheza had such an angelic voice that orchestrated the band’s songs.

Check out photos from the show as well as the video I took of Lafaye. It was a really dark show, so you won’t see much in the embedded video except for the windmill lights.
