Last night brought The Wild Rovers Tour to Off Broadway for a rowdy foot-stomping night of folk rock. The Wild Rovers Tour features Cory Chisel, The Candles, Adriel Denae, and special guests and friends. What wasn’t advertised was one of the special guests and friends was Grammy-winning superstar Jazz singer Norah Jones. While Jones’ appearance wasn’t announced, rumors regarding her participation quickly spread around the St Louis music community, and the show very quickly sold out, as people scrambled for the chance to see Jones perform at such an intimate venue.
Jones was on the tour to support The Candles, who were her backing band during Jones’ own world tour. Throughout the night, she would sneak in incognito to play piano, fiddle, and sing backing vocals for the other bands. She finally took center-stage to sing as one of the leads during the encore. All in all, it ended up being a very fun-filled special night.
